A Live Reading of Dickens' Lecture Version of His Story
Our founders are invited to join us on Thursday, December 15th, 2022, at 8 PM (Eastern Time) for a live reading of Charles Dickens’ own lecture version of his story, “A Christmas Carol.” We will be recording this reading to share later with all our paid subscribers as a “Poetry Aloud,” so if you can’t attend live, you will be able to view the reading at your convenience later.
The reading will take place on Zoom, from our front parlor. Log in details will be sent to founders by email notification on the morning of the 15th. We hope to allow for some conversation afterwards, but do expect this first such event to be something of a work in progress, as we figure out how to “run the show.” Family and friends are most welcome to watch the broadcast with you, but due to space limits we must ask for only one log-in per invitation.
