Dear friends, it has been a difficult day at our house. I began but could not finish our Sometimes a Song entry, because our daughter had to be rushed to the ER with a dangerously low heme iron count. Today she had two 5-hour blood transfusions and a heavy iron infusion. Tony spent most of the day in the hospital with her, and I spent all day and evening on the phone with her listening in on doctors visits and trying to get her the simple food and water that she needed. It was a struggle.
I hope to get my song out to you this weekend, but tomorrow promises to be another hospital day for our family. We would value your prayers for our daughter so that we can get a proper diagnosis of her illness and find a good plan for how to manage the disorder. We don’t want any more close calls like we had today.
We also want to apologize for getting today’s Poetry Aloud to you late. There was a mysterious Substack glitch, and I had to redo the entire post this morning. I hope you all saw it. If you did not, the post is free to all our subscribers this week, and you can find it on our home page.
God bless you all, and thank you for your support and friendship.

Debra :-)
My husband and I are going to a Holy Hour for healing tonight at our Church. We will lift your daughter (and each member of your family) before the Blessed Sacrament, Tony, and, Debrah.
