What we are doing at Word & Song
As many of our subscribers and, I’m guessing, all our founders are aware, I’ve been writing about the collapse of our culture for over twenty years. During that time, I’ve been invited to speak at more than a hundred colleges, churches, and civic groups across the United States and Canada. Wherever I go, people ask me, “What’s wrong with our world?” and, inevitably, “What can we do about it?” That second question is difficult to answer, if you look around you and you see the rubble everywhere, the sagging or the dilapidation of social and educational institutions, of churches, of the arts, and of family life. But it is easy to answer in one sense. When everything must to be done, doing anything helps, and since no one can do it all, the main thing is to pick up your shovel or your hammer — wherever your abilities lie —and begin.
