On a few occasions – most notably Adirondack Park, and in Maine’s 100 Mile Wilderness – I have seen a night sky similar to what our ancestors might have seen. And I have become convinced that preserving dark skies is a theological imperative. Without them, our awareness of the grandeur and glory of Creation is sadly diminished, and our sense of wonder – both a gift of, and an avenue to, God our Creator - is badly impoverished. 😞
Your comment on the starry firmament -- how I would love to see that sight again -- reminded me of something a friend sent showing the starry sky as seen from the Mars Rover.
I wasn't sure which hymn you'd choose to correspond with "dance," but I was absolutely sure of one thing--which is that, unless you had a stroke, it was definitely NOT going to be "Lord of the Dance."

What a beautiful, GRAND, and uplifting hymn to praise God's majesty!
I shall look this night at the Milky Way, buttressed with Northern Lights.
Ah, Father! So good to hear from you. We are waiting for the red moon here!
