Where Have All the Dances Gone?

Anthony Esolen Speaks

Ladies and Gentlemen: Today’s podcast is from an article I wrote back in 2010. What I said then is just as true now, though I wish it weren’t so. You’ll see that this piece has much to do with dance, but the heart of it is about the customs that used to bring boys and girls into one another’s company in a healthy way, free of pressure. I make the same call today as I made then — and it’s an odd call to have to make — to have innocent fun! Strange, that such fun should be strange, but so it is.

This one comes straight from the heart.
