A Clean Heart

Reminiscences of my father, whose heart was clean indeed.

Dear Readers: Today I’m reading an article I wrote for The Catholic Thing in June, 2014, on my father, and his clean ways. He passed away in 1991, when I was only 31 years old, and our daughter Jessica was not yet 3, and Davey hadn’t even been born. But he was the greatest human influence on my life, and I owe him a debt I can never repay. Debra’s father Herb, the ideal father-in-law to me and the ideal grandfather to our children, had a clean heart also, and I trust that the Lord’s promises have been fulfilled in both of them.
