Been meaning to rewatch for some time, thanks I did the past 2 nights. Great performances all round! Scofield is so enjoyable, I've heard him as Lear and would like to see him in something else (besides the Crucible which I remember little of).
An excellent movie and the cast performances were so good, just as you described. One of my favorite saints is St. Thomas More.Paul Scofield was also in a movie called, The Train. He portrayed a German commander in France towards the end of WW2 who was attempting to bring to Germany many famous works of art that were confiscated from France.
