“Sometimes a Song”……one of the best little bits of my Saturday. Always uplifting. Thank you, Debra!

Anne, thank you for that. I'm in a terrible time crunch right now, so I am particularly encouraged to know that Sometimes a Song is blessing others!

What a brilliant antidote to our current music culture! Sammy Kaye, thankfully, was just a small sampling of the beautiful, soothing music that invited romance of our ancestors! Since the late '50s we have sadly seen a total decline in ballroom dancing culture all over the Western world! Nothing has replaced it! All of us with taste are due for a revival of such music as "Moonlight Serenade", and "Blue Evening", creations of the '40s big bands, and wonderful public places to take your girlfriend to just have a wholesome evening of companionship and good feeling while dancing to the music!

Charles, yes, romance was literally "in the air" in those days. Our grown children -- and most young folks now -- are really deprived because of this loss. Marriage rates are in the tank, even among the churchgoers, and dropping more every year. We need a revival of romance for sure.
