One of our all time favorite films. Wonderful! funny!
But I wonder if you have ever seen the ballet? How do you tell this sans words? Well, It's exquisite, I can tell you. It's a British production ..maybe the Liverpool Ballet, but you'll have to find
it. I hope you can, because I know you'd smile at its charm and the superb talents of that company.
Great movie. Charles Laughton is a great actor. There’s so much in the movie that I had to immediately watching it again. For example, Mrs Hepworth, played by Helen Haye, what a scene. And the two younger daughters are hysterical! Every scene would seem to be a gem.
We are currently rewatching this movie. Love it! I am wondering if any of your readers have seen “This Happy Breed”? It’s very good and I think it would be a worthy movie for discussion on this Substack.
This promises to be delightful. I’m a melancholic who enjoys Lent but plan now to watch Saturday so as to lighten up. I’ve been profiting by watching so many of the films you recommend—sending these comments with my thanks and prayers.
