When I think of home it’s transcendent, if you will. It isn’t just a where but also a when. It doesn’t have clearly defined boundaries. It’s the people that live(d) there and make/made it a place of love and security. Some of them may not have actually lived in the house and some of them have moved on to the heavenly home where Christ has gone to prepare a place for us. In this sense it is a foretaste of Heaven, the ultimate abode of love. It’s much more than a place to live.
