Isn't it just pure FUN? Just read it again, to my delight. There is a streak of cruelty, don't you think, among some of the characters? Modern cruelty is very different. It was sort of physical in Twain's time. Now it's more subtle--and in some ways more terrible--not that I find mistreating animals (or people) amusing in any way, but at least they didn't commit abortion...and the roistering bitterness sometimes evident in Twain's writing shows his awareness of it. But oh! It can be so funny! Thanks again as always. But.....twin Tonys is confusing......PS. I hope your daughter is recovering and feeling much better!
