This was our first time watching this movie and my husband and I enjoyed it. It was such a graceful way to show mercy, forgiveness, and hope. Thank you for bringing forward these films for us as I wouldn't know about them otherwise.

I'd seen this film years ago- an underrated gem which I now want to rewatch. I had forgotten about Shirley Temple's role in this film; curiously, she'd been in another film with Joseph Cotten, Since You Went Away, that same year.

I was looking for a movie to watch while finishing up my jigsaw puzzle and took your suggestion to watch this unknown-to-me gem. A really wonderful film.

It's a fine film, and a wonderful example of the kind of film that audiences paid to see in the 1940's. We love it.

And ... "I'll Be Seeing You" is one of the love great songs from (in my humble opinion) The Golden Age of American Popular Music (which encompasses about the same time as The Golden Age of Hollywood -- 1935 to 1965 ... for me, American popular music has deteriorated into mostly garbage since 1965).
