How serendipitous that this week's hymn should use "Duke Street" as a melody! I heard it used for “I Know that My Redeemer Lives" at Mass just this past Sunday, and hearing it then actually made me realize that it is among my favorite hymn melodies for the very same reasons: it is thoroughly triumphant, and it fits perfectly with this week's hymn. I think it stands tall among some of the other truly grand melodies: the Old Hundredth, Nicaea, Kingsfold, you name them...
