Absolutely love that manly dance of Gene Kelly. Always my top movie of all time. Also recall that Steve & Eydie did perhaps the ultimate Gershwin medley in song. You can hear the thrilling tour de force in their album Our Love Is Here To Stay, The Gershwin Years. Unforgettable. A Valentine love gift for the ages. Plus, Gene Kelley appeared with his daughter Bridget on their TV show. God bless them all.

Gene Kelly always brings to mind my sixth-grade teacher, Sister Judith, a highly opinionated Irish nun, who assured us with a smile that "Gene Kelly is a manly dancer." Then, with a disdainful curl of her upper lip, proclaim that Fred Astaire did not fit her outlook on dancing manliness.

Great movie, and I always love a scene with Oscar Levante!

I've seen An American in Paris many times, it never grows old, and I never tire of it! Check out the face of each person in the scene behind Kelly and Guetary as they sing the song: sheer genuine joy! No need to take an acting class to feel that. And the very last frame in the song sequence? Well, that's the world I want to live in! As always, THANK YOU.
