I was very glad to see this title in my inbox today. I read this piece in Touchstone some years ago, and to me, it has always been one of your finest pieces ever. Not only is the writing (as ever) sublime, but it deals with such a poignant and powerful subject. I'm glad that I not only now get to read it with my eyes, but that I can hear you reading it with my ears whenever I wish. That alone is more than worth the small price of subscribing here. We reap rewards upon rewards!
