For Good Friday we are opening this Poetry Aloud to everyone, Tony's reading of the 6th dramatic monologue from The Hundredfold. The speaker is St. Peter.
I love this Good Friday tradition. I love that Peter acknowledges it is worse to fall having known Christ, than never to have known Him. And we do betray His great love, and in great love He rehabilitates us as He did Peter. To be understood in our depths, as Peter feels Christ’s gaze here, hurts us in time, but heals us in Eternity.

Wrenching!
Imagine those Eyes.
Lord, have mercy.
Excellent, again, as usual!
Thank you Tony. I have enjoyed the book on my own, but enjoy it more hearing you read from it. Blessed Easter to you and yours.
Thank you, Dr. Esolen. Powerful and deeply meaningful.
Tony, I have a poem I would very much appreciate if you would comment on. It is about a man's struggle to deal with his betrayal of Jesus.
